Attuned To You
The world of early childhood education can be hard to navigate. There is so much insider information that, if parents knew, would change the way they choose their childcare. I have that information and I am ready to share.

My name is Maggie Stamell, and by researching local daycares, coaching parents, and applying my knowledge, I provide my clients with an informed perspective on their childcare search. This way, the best centers get the enrollment they deserve, and parents won't waste their time and money with daycares that claim to be something they are not.

Once you can confidently define what you want, you can find childcare that gives your child the safety, learning, and joy you wish for them, and the peace of mind you need.

Meet Maggie
For over ten years, I have been immersed in Chicago's world of early childhood education and childcare. I've worked with and for children in countless capacities including as a teacher, teacher coach, and administrator. I hold a Master's in Child Development from Erikson Institute.

Throughout my time in the field, I have connected with hundreds of parents, and I believe I understand what it is they want for their children in childcare; safety, learning, and joy.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you gather information about local daycares?
When researching a daycare, I begin by screening the website and online reviews. Next, I schedule a visit to tour the facility and ask very thorough questions about their operations, approach to ECE, and culture. If permitted, I observe a classroom in action and talk to the teachers. Finally, I reach about to any parents I know who have enrolled their children there and get updated feedback.
Do you accept payment from daycare centers in exchange for promotion?
Absolutely not. Any glowing review from me must be earned. I offer professional development training to daycare centers, but the use of my services does not guarantee I will recommend them to my clients. It does, however, allow me to get to know their teachers and administrators and gain insight into their daily operations.
What is your background and why are you qualified to help me find childcare?
Positions I have held include teacher, teacher coach, education coordinator, lecturer, and administrator. I have experience in non-profit and private centers and have worked with children ages 3 months to 18 years in a variety of settings.

I hold a Master's in Child Development from Erikson Institute, a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Harry S. Truman College, and am director-qualified.

I am happy to share my resume upon request!
Do you make recommendations based on your personal opinions and preferences?
I try my hardest not to let my personal opinions about childcare color my consultations. While I specialize in play-based learning and Reggio-inspired environments, this may not be the right path for a specific child or family; your needs and values come first. That said, I will always share what is viewed by experts in the field as quality care so parents can make an informed decision.
